Biodiversity in Hong Kong has been an elegant blending of a spectrum of background aspects, namely geology, ecology and local culture.
This delicate balance has fascinated many of us, and a progressive promotion of conservation of wildlife to the general public has become the main theme of Nature and the City.
Established by passionate professional and amateur naturalists, among whom includes graduates of ecology-related program of the Institute of Vocational Education (IVE), Hong Kong, our routine field observations involve ecological observation and photography, as well as precise recording in interesting behaviour and biological status of wildlife species.
From the information accessed, we are desperate to share our sensations through education, such as school seminars and eco-escort programs.
It is sincerely hoped that our efforts can allow an alternative perspective in our tiny region: aside from the busy urban life, but also somewhere all those beautiful species, well including our own distant ancestors, has inhabited and proliferated.
